Sarangpur. After the Jal Jhilani Ekadashi festival, the volunteers and saints were taking rest in the afternoon. Dharmajivan Swami who was sleeping near Swamishri noticed Pramukh Swami had gone somewhere. His search led him to the common toilets at the rear of the mandir campus. Here he found Pramukh Swami cleaning the overflowing toilets. Dharmajivan Swami tried to forcibly take the bucket and broom, but Swamishri insisted on cleaning the bathroom. The President of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha happily performed the most menial and repulsive of services.

30/06/2001. Delhi. Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam placed a vision in front of Swamishri. This vision encompassed transforming India from a developing to a developed country. Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Y.S Rajan and 500 scientists were working on a programme called Vision 2020, revolving around 5 essential development pillars, namely education and health care, agriculture, information and communication, infrastructure, and critical technology. Dr Kalam who was moved by Swamishri’s pious lifestyle presented Vision 2020 to Swamishri. Swamishri mentioned that they should add another pillar. This pillar would be faith in God. Dr Kalam thus realised that Swamishri connects society with God.

Mirabai was a devotee with the utmost faith and devotion to God. Her husband became angry at her for her devotion and tried to poison and kill her. Mirabai faith was unshakeable

despite being fed poisoned food, being forced to sleep on a bed of nails and being attacked by a venomous snake.
