Nityananda Prabhu, the avatar of Lord Balram, met two brothers Jagai and Madhai while he was spreading the message of God. These brothers were of brahmin by caste; however, they had abandoned the pious ways of living. Nityananda Prabhu felt compassion for them; thus, he humbly asked the brothers to chant the name of Shri Krishna. Instead of chanting the name of Shri Krishna, the two brothers shouted foul names and chased him down the road. Madhai even threw a clay pot on Nityananda Prabhu’s head. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu heard of the brothers’ actions, he became infuriated, that he was prepared to kill them. However, Nityananda Prabhu urged the Lord to treat them with compassion and to liberate the fallen souls. As the two brothers witnessed Nityananda Prabhu’s forgiving nature, they repented and resolved to become devotees of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s sankirtana mission.
In 1977, while on his travels through South India, Swamishri received a letter from Chandrakantbhai of London. In the letter, Chandrakantbhai asked Swamishri to visit his son at the Blue Mountain School in Ooty. Swamishri travelled 1000 miles to the school where he was initially denied entry. The young student eventually came out to meet Swamishri who had been waiting out in the heat. The boys joy knew no bounds upon meeting his guru that went so far out of his way for just a simple meeting.
Han Kop, a retired teacher from Holland first had the darshan of Swamishri in the year 1971. A few days later, Han Kop was nearly attacked by a killer shark! The shark steadily approached Han Kop and his life began to flash before his eyes. Amid the mental chaos, he closed his eyes and began chanting the Swaminarayan mantra. He prayed to Pramukh Swami to save him. He saw Swamishri standing right before him. An inner voice told him to swim to the shore; all he saw was Pramukh Swami’s murti before him.
Bali raja, the demon king, was about to be crowned the ruler of the world. Out of fear of defeat, the devs begged Vishnu Bhagwan for help. Vishnu Bhagwan attended the ceremony as the dwarf priest, Vaman Avatar. As a priest Vaman was allowed to ask for one wish from Bali raja. Vaman asked to be given as much land as he could cover in 3 steps. After Bali raja accepted his wish, Vaman grew and covered the entire world with his first step, and then the entire universe with the second. There was now no land left to be given to vaman. Bali raja recognised that this could only be the actions of Vishnu Bhagwan and so requested that vaman place his foot on Bali Raja’s head as he surrended before the almighty Bhagwan.
After Swamishri reverted to Akshardham, a non-satsangi labourer travelled a great distance to do his final darshan of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Once he saw swamishri’s radiant form, he immediately took an oath to give up all addictions and vices and to live a new and pure life.
