Mandirs, scriptures and sadhus are the pillars of Hindu culture. Swamishri’s saintlihood inspired many youths to take initiation into the sadhu-fold. Swamishri has initiated many youths throughout various occasions such as the bicentenary of Lord Swaminarayan, Yogiji Maharaj's centenary celebrations et cetera. In total Swamishri initiated over 1100 sadhus.
Plundering of the Alms-houses. Harassment from the bawas. The sadhus were faced with much turmoil. Lord Swaminarayan could not stand this hence on June 18th, 1804, he initiated 500 paramhansas in one night to alleviate the abuses hurled upon his sadhus. This was the first time in the history of Hindu Dharma that such many sadhus took the diksha of a Paramhans simultaneously.
